Generally brings along newbs and alot of quake3 players love their rail only.
Im a Quake2 player...and yes quite newb to Quake3/QuakeLive :P Insta server is OK for bit of rail prac and plain fun, but the FFA server is OK for that as well. As this is a beta I guess idsoftware would prefer to leave all the gametypes in to collect as much feedback on bugs/enhancements etc. Once we go live though, a 2nd 1v1/TDM server would be a good idea.
Ah and wch...I finally made that dm6 jump! w00t!
I can't connect to any servers... keep getting connecting to xmpp authtication type error.. is there something I need to set somewhere??? wtf finally get quake live setup and all i can do is play bots..
no issues with my firewall or net connection... i am using firefox as the browser of choice.. all maajor addons disabled...
If you think your firewall settings are fine,
what i noticed is when you get this XMPP authentication error
it usually means you have not updated quakelive and
therefore your version is not up to date.
Close the quakelive window and re-open/re-login in
and it should fix it.
XMPP is a chat protocol.. So thats an interesting error.
It's also what QL is using to connect to servers.
