Anyone with a QuakeLive account can check how many invites they have HERE.
Now, in an attempt to get more Australian players in on this, and hopefully whining on the QL forums for some Australian servers - I'm gonna give my 2 invites out to whoever posts first.
For the invite, I need your first and last name and a valid email address (note: If you use hotmail or gmail, make sure you check your spam folders!)
I'll post who I have invited in case there are more generous people who want to give out invites as well. This should make it so we don't double up on invites :>

Whenever idsoftware processes the invites, you'll get an email. Could be a week... could be 4 weeks.

What are the chances of an aussie QL server happening?
If we dont get one, does that mean we can only play on OS servers ie: 250 ping+?

Theres no server binaries..
All of the current QuakeLive servers are hosted by idsoftware in there different data centers across the US and in some parts of Europe.

That means that idsoftware hasnt accepted the new person in to the BETA program. It will say accepted once the invite has been sent to the user.

No Au servers yet either. No word of it from any iD employee either.
There have been about 5 threads now asking for AU servers. None of them have had a reply from an idsoftware employee.
Quakelive is down, maybe they are adding some AU servers?? :p

There is almost zero reason to have an invite for this since there are no Aussie servers.
Btw, I have just gone through the forums and seriously all I can say is I think this is going to FAIL harder than quakewars. I have a feeling that the people that are deving it NEVER played q3 in their lives!

QuakeLive physics and weapon attributes are both better then Q3 CPMA imo. If there were AU servers for it, I wouldn't look back at standard Q3.
I like most of the weapon changes myself.
I don't like CA with armour damage, and now way to turn it off or the fact that if you vote CA you still play the fuck tard map cycle and you end up playing CA on small maps.
That is just fail. It is still beta so I have hope, however id being so silent on Aussie servers 10 bucks says we don't get any.

Seems like a lot of people are waiting for there invites.
Might just have to be patient, they are doing work on the servers to upgrade capacity to handle the new beta users. That is why our aussie ql servers have been down so much. They have hardly been up at all(prob 3 days at most) so you are not missing much.
Btw, most of us that do have invites are spaming ql forums to get them to fix aussie servers and also punch out the invites with fuck all responce.
(Especially wch who does his best to get shit happening for all aussie quakers, wd mate)
