well, i think this is what they mean:
is it 4v4? 5v5? 2v2? 1v1?
will it be played on TS? Overkill? variety of maps?
are you thinking a one day comp? comp with weekly games?
will it be elim? double elim? or round robin?

we have so many ideas bouncing around atm, lets see what happens with the CTF draft league / State of Origin first.
Q3 should be revived. But not in competition format.
I suggest a ladder system, where you challenge players higher up for their spot on the ladder (best of three maps?) and set an end date, after which, the champions are declared.
Oh, and also - Ill probably play Ra3, a comp might be a good excuse to download it again

I've gone through a lot of ra3 maps with resiak (on lan), I can get you guys a list of extra maps that would be fun if you want ... there are another 3 that should be played I think.
5 vs 5, 7 maps, weekly games, double elim is my vote. I'll help in organization providing games will be played week nights. Otherwise I'm out (work both Sat and Sun night).
5v5 is a lot for a team to get together these days I think. Dunno how much of a difference 4v4 would make, and below that is getting a bit shit aye. But still if it's 4v4 after four teams there's an extra team...
I'm good for weeknights other than Tuesday and Thursday... and probably most Fridays unless it's early evening.
Yeah maybe 4 vs 4 then considering the low numbers. Oh well, think of something fun, make it on weeknights and I'll be in.

people who want to play are better off just getting their clan together and warring, or get together on irc on a set day and play etc

Canadians always played 3v3 on smaller clan arenas. This idea pleases me! (much like I liked 4v4 ctf).
I like the ladder idea. I also like the idea of 2v2, cause it should be reasonably easy to find a partner with the what looks like faltering numbers. Plus this also means even if you lose, you can continue to play throughout the whole time of the ladder.
Any thoughts?

What are some of the smaller arena's? I'll go and check them out. Due to the fact that since I've been playing RA3, map 1 and 11 are the only ones that have ever been played... With the very odd map 12 and the castle one.
So yeah, let me know some of the good smaller arena's and I'll go have a squiz.
