i only started vq3 about 5-6 months ago and before that i played a little bit of cpm for like 3 months when newborn ran promode_au, i wouldnt be the most experienced to run a thing like this sorry :(
But sure i'd admin games at night as a ref if it was too be.
i volunteer to host a CPM mini comp on sundays, if people would like to play CPM and is SQ permits
I would like to see a little bit of duel.
We have done CTF and TDM so far (I realise that TDM isnt finished).
Even though Pyth is going to win, I would like to see some heathly competition in the q3 community.
Especially seeing so many good players from NSW werent involved in the CPL comp (Fez etc :) )

personally, id like to see more promode being played, so if any CPM players are up for it, ill be happy to organise weekly mini comps. That is, if SQ permits it... :):)
I have wanted to run a one day mini comp ala freeze for all for quite a while.. Saturday or Sunday morning etc. It comes down to availability and time.
The TDM comp was meant to be run by Rhyno.. and this is why it's failing so hard now, as we don't have the manpower to take care of it now that Rhyno isn't, for whatever reasoning.
The comps in theory should be no trouble at all, but I should note that I can set the servers up etc, but I can't run it. I'll register a channel on IRC [#ausquake-comp] for the mini comps, but someone else is going to have to organise the people and manage the scores etc.
I'd play in a cpm comp if there are some shit people in it too.. :>
well then, all thats needed is for Incog or Neotix to give a green light and then we can round some people up for a little duel comp on saturdays or sundays. The admins wouldnt be troubled much since it would be run and looked after by other people, and not specifically by them. For instance, i can organise player seeds and the like by thursday or friday night ready for a saturday start, or even a sunday start. If any games arent finished by monday theyd be forfeited and then the leading player gets their bragging rights :)

Even a all day Sunday Freeze event like the NZ then we can get the NZ teams involved aswell. (freeze.co.nz)
Well then, if anyone wants to play some Promode, PM me and ill organise something. Still looking for a green light from an admin, though. I wont start without it.
If there's interest in a FreezeTag comp i'll volunteer to run it, if I can try something a bit different...
I've wanted to try the US Freeze rules for a while, which is a bit faster/aggressive than NZ Freeze rules - no point in running one that mirrors the NZ style when they have a comp for that already (Freeze For All).
freeze comps are always fun for short comps, definately much better choice than duel and from how the tdm comp went i think a change would be best
so Cugal and i can both run these weekend mini-comps?

It's also worth mentioning, on the subject of competitions.. that the Optus backbone connection is now READY. The bad news is that Comcen still have 8 days of credit left with AsiaNetCom, and won't be switching the pipes over until that's gone. Company prerogative etc. Get yourselves ready for some old-school optus gaming ;)

Yeh, I've played cpm tdm. I was refering to standard vq3 tdm / anything on the SQ servers at the moment.

Cugel and i can alternate weekends. for instance, mine on the tenth, followed by Cugels on the seventeenth, then mine on the twenty-fourth, etc
