we had a full server tonight.. but then moved on to a WA server :O because of the spikes.
65 ping to WA in cpma isnt so bad.
85-90 felt like playing on a 250 ping dialup connection to that WA server
Yea could we please get some ctf servers converted to tdm please.
I've put the 2nd TDM server back up, took down the RA3 server again. This time for good, I'm not going to put it up again.
Is a 3rd required?
I would say so based on:
Lot of 2v2 games going on
Lot of pub 4v4 games going on.
A third sever would mean:
1. 2v2
2. 2v2
3. 2v2 or 3v3 or 4v4
Games could happen, I think they would be filled. If sq s3 ctf is starting until feb I think alot of players will start playing more tdm.
Thanks incog. Is it possible to allow voting of other game types on the CTF competition servers? That way they can be used for both ctf and tdm pracs
yeh i definately agree with your suggestion of using only wa servers for tdm!
from now on tdm means quake.efferus.net and quake2.efferus.net (and we can play some duels there too)

server was pretty bad last nite.. usual freeze issue where everyone 999's for a second but it happened way more frequently

couldn't find a command but you can probbably figure out how to make servers with 10 minutes of inactivity reset to default server settings

there are 4 tdm, 4 duel and 2 ctf...
to my knowledge, 'sqffa' was votable on the TDM servers.
try: /callvote mode
with the tdm comp & duel ladder coming, i think they should be locked
